Bailing Gongfu, one of China’s famous black teas, originates from Tai Mu mountain, Fujian. It was firstly recorded in 1851 in Tsing Dynasty ”Wu Yi Anthology” (武夷志).
Bailing Gongfu is from small-leave camelia sinesis tree growing along 300-500 meters high hills in Tai Mu. The climate is warm, foggy and humid; the soil is deep, rocky and contains varieties of minerals. Mild sunshine and good soil enrich fine quality of this excellent black tea.
Chinese two words ”Gong Fu” means ”lots of time and efforts”. Bailing Gongfu raw material is strictly from early fresh and tender one-bud-two-leaves; to further process Bailing Gongfu demands skilled and complicated hand work, through 12 procedures!

This quality (Superior) tea has tender, lively dark leaves with needle-ended golden buds. Its infusion appears brilliant red with a golden circle; its leaves neatly remain at the bottom. The tea tastes smooth with light fruity sweetness lingering afterwards.

How to brew Bailing Gongfu black tea?

Handmade Yixing clay teapot or fine porcelain teapot.
